If you haven’t noticed, I’ve got a new logo. It’s clean, simple and chic. I collaborated with a fellow black, woman creative to achieve it and now, you can’t tell me nothing! (You fancy, huh?) I’m entering 2019 with the determination to be the very best Aikita running the very best Joy at Journey’s End possible. It’s all about a new year, better me!
My 2018 logo represents my tenacity. I designed and created my logo myself. I didn’t have the money to pay a professional, so I said I would figure it out. And I did! My 2018 logo also represents my inability to rely on others. I am a perfectionist and a control freak. It just worked with my sensibilities to navigate the wonderful world of branding solo.
My 2019 logo is a testament to me leveling up and stepping out of my comfort zone. I actually HIRED someone to do some work me. ME! Although I’m sure I wore Mikki (the graphic designer) with my endless tweaks and changes, the end result is so purrty. It’s also a first step in getting knowledgeable, professional help with my business and brand. I can’t do every thing alone.
I also have some great new items coming in 2019! I released my Botanical Bath & Body oils in December and today, January 1, I am releasing my Shuga Mama Body Polish! Currently, both the body oil and brown sugar polish come in two signature scents, Eden and Haven. However, stay tuned for more scents and products!
